On behalf of the staff at CMS I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our students and families who attend school and visit our site. It is our hope that visitors to this site will take advantage of the information about the excellent programs and numerous other learning opportunities that our school offers. We are proud of our education programs, our teaching staff and our supportive community. Through our combined efforts, we continue to take every effort to provide all students with the best education possible during their years at CMS. We try to create an atmosphere in which all our students are encouraged to think, to learn, to seek answers, and to be creative. The middle school years are a time of academic growth. Our goal is to provide a challenging and stimulating curriculum, along with activities that promote positive social growth. The responsibility for providing a sound educational experience for students is both challenging and rewarding. Administration, instructional and support staff, work as team to carry out this responsibility but the ultimate success of any school is determined by how well the school, the home, and the community work together in the best interest of the children the school serves. Strong communication between the home and school forms the basis for the caring, nurturing, family atmosphere that is essential to an effective middle school. In closing, I encourage all of you to continue your active involvement in your child's education. Try to stay abreast of the challenging demands placed on each child here at school. If your child knows you truly care about their success in and out of school, I believe in most instances they will strive very hard to meet your expectations, and not let you down. Message From The Vice Principal. Welcome to Chilliwack Middle School. CMS is a learning community that is rich in tradition with more then 50 years of service to chilliwack students. As a visionary middle school, we are resigned to meet the unique needs of all middle school learners. We offer excellent core academic instruction and we also provide a wider range of exploratory courses . The key to the ongoing success of CMS has been its commitment to insuring a high quality service to its students. We are a learning community that focuses on how we create the conditions for students achievements. |
